My work in both oil paints and photography explores the spirit, energy, and beauty of the American West. My style is a blend of contemporary, energetic painting techniques within a representational framework.

How does the region influence your art?

The Southwest is the home I chose many years ago and its energy and spirit is an integral part of my art. The intensity of the climate and its beautiful light are reflected in my work, both in photos and paintings. A large part of my work's character is driven by the color of the rocks,
the quality of the light, the animals, and the drama of the desert.
