So, what is Work Project?

Work Project is a platform for Southwestern self-representation. In Work Project, organizations, museums, researchers, and artists from across the nation will examine representations of the Southwestern borderland pictured in museums, murals, and literature. In emphasizing the region’s legacy of labor, Work Project celebrates individuals for their ethics, effort, and excellence.

What about Sunhouse?

In 2012, sisters Ali and Celine Dipp founded Sunhouse Arts (formerly Youth Collaboration of the Arts). Since its conception, Sunhouse Arts has raised 10,000 dollars from our theatre and film showings and have donated all net profits to humanitarian efforts in the El Paso-Juárez area (sunhousearts.org). We are now fiscally sponsored as a charitable fund under the Paso Del Norte Foundation. Committed to the public good, Sunhouse Arts strives for better.

What made Work Project  possible? 
Awarded a Royce Fellowship from Brown University, this summer Ali Dipp is spearheading Sunhouse Art's newest endeavor. In 2022, she will graduate with degrees in Painting at RISD (B.F.A.) and English at Brown (B.A.).

Humbled by a heritage of work, she hopes to honor the land that taught her to value work in

order to acknowledge worth.
